The NHD program provides teachers with resource materials, workshops, and other opportunities for professional development.

National History Day:
  • gives teachers a model teaching tool for the classroom, based on active learning
  • helps teachers meet the requirements of national and state history standards
  • provides an excellent assessment tool for classroom use

Doing History Conference: For Students and Teachers – October 30th 8:30am – 2:45pm!

We are doing it again! Make sure to save the date for this innovative one day conference for students (and teachers). Save the date of October 30th. Doing History Conference will take place at William Paterson University and will have a speaker to introduce the annual theme, workshops for students just starting in National History Day and for students who have participated for a few years, a student and judges panel and a special workshop for teachers.
