Introduction to New Jersey History Day

The 2015 National History Day theme is "Leadership and Legacy in History".  The state contest will be Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 at William Paterson University. Please email for further information and look through the website for more details.

National History Day is an exciting and comprehensive way to address many areas of the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards. It also provides a unique opportunity to integrate many areas of the curriculum such as English, Science, Technology, Math, Drama, and of course, History. This program gives your students the chance to engage in primary research individually or as a group and to present their findings through papers, projects, performances or media.

The curriculum book, updated Teacher's Handbook and other information for National History Day are available for the cost of shipping and handling. See the Teacher's Resources for Purchase webpage for materials and prices.

I look forward to working with you and you and your students this year.
