New Category: Websites
New Jersey History Day will continue to take projects for the newer category, Websites, for the 2008 state competition. This new website category was piloted at the state level in 2007 and now the 2008 National contest will be excepting entries. Therefore any student who enters for the 2008 state contest WILL be eligible to compete at Nationals. Students should design and create a website corresponding to the 2008 theme "Conflict and Compromise". They will be eligible for all state level awards and National awards. Like papers, website entries will be submitted burned on a CD handed into the regional offices according to dates, see the District Competitions page for further information.

Change in Paper Category
There is a change this year effecting students who submit papers. This year runoff paper entries will be interviewed at the contest. Teacher and students will be notified in advance if a paper entry made it to the interview level. This new rule only applies to the state level of competition. New Jersey History Day still invites all students who submit papers to attend the contest in May.
